An offbeat but effective crazy comedy from a script co-written by brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly, of There's Something About Mary and Dumb & Dumber fame. In the Seventies, a Rhode Island boy (Shawn Hatosy) gets mixed up with the drug culture and is constantly in trouble with the law. His dad (Alec Baldwin) places him in a strict private school in Cornwall, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and he's told to graduate, or else. The film manages the clever trick of being in turn touching, annoying, vulgar and funny. William Shatner's daughter, Melanie, also appears.
