The actor first came to the public's attetention for the role of Seth Abrahms in Steven Soderbergh's drugs thriller Traffic.
Raised in Darien, Connecticut, he attended school in Massachusetts for two years where he began his acting career in such musicals as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat.
Grace, who hated the name Chris at school so much he switched it to Topher , landed a place at the University of Southern California.
Dropping out, he landed a part in That 70s Show (he went to school with the producers' daughter) and went on to make the Oscar-winning Traffic alongside Benicio Del Toro and Catherine Zeta Jones.
Next he provided the voice for Pinnochio and starred in the Julia Roberts drama Mona Lisa Smile with Kirsten Dunst and Julia Stiles.
In 2004, Grace played the rival suitor to Josh Duhamel's film star in Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!
Recent work includes the romantic comedy In Good Company opposite Dennis Quaid.
