Another 'Perry Mason' case made after the death of long-serving Raymond Burr. Sadly, it must be admitted that both of the mysteries with Hal Holbrook in the lead (as Wild Bill McKenzie) are rather more fun than any latter-day Burr case, perhaps because Holbrook is a more astringent and fierier personality. The equally long-serving Barbara Hale is as gracious as ever as Della Street and there's strong support from rasp-tongued John Spencer who later made his mark in the much-praised TV series The West Wing.
