This conventional made-for-TV melodrama stars Farrah Fawcett as a woman who gives birth to a girl with Down's syndrome in the 1940s. The film then basically goes through the social and moral attitudes of the times and focuses on the mother's struggle to bring up her four other daughters as well as a handicapped child. Powerful subject matter, but not engrossing enough.
