Tee hee. Billy Connolly is meant to play it reasonably straight as a jealous composer who's a bit of a fraud. Yes, we know he's the killer that Lieutenant Colombo latches on to. Connolly's character, Findlay Crawford, has bumped off the man who really composed his work, including an Oscar-winning score. This is one of the new Colombo TV movies, but the investigative style and lack of suspense is the same. You just watch for the glint in Peter Falk's eye as he subtly pulls the rug from under another killer's feet and wraps the case up.
