Miscast as a Chicago cop, Jennifer Lopez simply isn't up to the lengthy demands this overwrought action thriller-cum-love story places on her, while co-star Jim Caviezel, as the mystery man for whom she falls, seems to be auditioning for Psycho 5. Former Mexican firecracker Sonia Braga appears, greatly aged, as Lopez's much-beaten mother. The last hour of this, alas, is guaranteed to put all but the most ardent J-Lo fans to sleep.

I found this to be a very gentle, intelligent and subtle film which I thoroughly enjoyed. Not J.Lo's greatest fan but did think she gives a fine performance. However, it is Caviezel's dark, charismatic performance which sets this film apart from the average. A touching and unusual love story.

Don't underrate this movie; it's different with an interesting & unusual story line. No it's not an action movie yet it actions the mind & I found it very definitely worth another viewing!
