With this routine fourth instalment in the horror saga, we've come a long way from Stephen King's original tale. Unlike the third episode, though. which was set in Chicago, this one restores events to a small-town setting, as a medical student notices that the local kids are all ears when it comes to the words of a mysterious preacher. He seems to be turning them into zombies who murderously stalk the adults. Naomi Watts - now a high-profile star since her appearance in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive - and horror veteran Karen Black head the cast.
