A child TV presenter, who has grown into an international superstar, Britney Spears is one of the world's most popular, best selling pop divas.

The blonde singer played a flight attendant in an obscure film called Longshot in 2001, but decided to really take her career in a parallel direction the following year, when she starred in Crossroads, as road movie about three teenage girls exploring their independence.

The film won some surprising critical praise, and Britney also appeared in a cameo role as herself in Austin Powers in Goldemember in 2002.
