The Scarlet Pimpernel

Anthony Andrews and Jane Seymour fit their roles like elegant gloves in this lavish TV movie version of the swashbuckling classic about Sir Percy Blakeney, the mysterious soldier of fortune rescuing aristocrats from French Revolutionaries in 1792. Though a tad overlong, it's excellent entertainment, with Ian McKellen co-starring as the Republican Chauvelin.

I love this film! I saw it first almost 20 years ago and since than I've been looking for it everywhere. Finally, 2 years ago I found it on satellite tv and recorded it. It's still as good as I remeber. Fantastic!
