Dedicated to the Air-Sea Rescue Service, the film scores in its action sequences - created by the Special Effects Department of Japan's Daiei Studios - but rather loses momentum in the scenes featuring the three male stars: Yul Brynner, Richard Widmark and George Chakiris. Still, there's much to enjoy and tension mounts effectively enough.
