Fast-moving wartime thriller. Van Johnson makes a good job of his role as a devil-may-care American who obligingly helps a pretty French girl to rescue her blind brother from Communist activity. Herbert Lom is superb as an amorous bandit with a sense of humour. And a young-looking Sean Connery appears in a supporting role.
