The dynamic actor Tommy Lee Jones gives a much-needed stir to the pace of this largely dreary drama. He plays a confused Vietnam veteran, who takes over New York's Central Park for 72 hours armed with a positive arsenal of weapons. Jones battles hard to flesh out a sketchily developed character and the music score by Tangerine Dream also does its best to help drum up the tension. The film, though, is consistently unpleasant and filled with a surprising amount of violence and bad language for a TV movie. Despite the New York setting the film, was actually shot largely in Canada!
