Faye Dunaway plays a way-out fashion photographer who, via nightmarish second sight, sees the murders of her friends as they happen in this pulpy, but enjoyably old-fashioned suspense thriller The movie needs Dunaway's visions to pep it all up and it's too easy to spot the killer, but it careers along nastily but nicely. Barbra Streisand was going to play Laura, but ended up just singing the theme song. The original story and screenplay were written by John (Halloween) Carpenter. Streisand gave Jon Peters his break into producing while working as her hair stylist.
