Goldie's A Granny

Goldie Hawn has become a grandmother with the birth of daughter Kate Hudson's littly boy, Ryder Russell Robinson, who weighed in at 8lb 11oz.

In response to the news, Goldie gushed: "I am over the moon.

"I am ecstatic. Kate and the baby are doing well."

Step-grandpa Kurt Russell added: "Chris is also doing well.

"They are going to make great parents. It is a great day for all of us."

Kate and musician Robinson, former singer with the Black Crowes, were married in 2000.

Hudson has made a name for herself in movies such as Le Divorce, How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days and Almost Famous - for which she garnered an Oscar nomination.
