Monster actress Charlize Theron has decided that winning an Oscar means the pressure is no longer on her to work.For most, winning an Oscar opens the windows of opportunity.
The amount of scripts coming through the letter box increases ten fold and the phone won't stop ringing.
But Charlize Theron cares for none of this.
As far as Theron is concerned, the Oscar she was awarded for her role in Monster last year has provided her with the chance to make the most of her home life.
Speaking at the premiere of De-lovely on the closing night of the Cannes film festival, Theron explained: "The Oscar was like getting a sigh, a seal of approval. I'd like to devote myself to a little person at home right now."
The 28-year-old actress has been dating LXG star Stuart Townsend for the last two years - and the Irishman is just as keen to concentrate on their family life.
Theron said: "When I left South Africa, I never believed I would find this success.
"Now I have got it, I want something more lasting, more fulfilling. Stuart feels the same way."
The pair will soon be seen in romantic war drama Head In The Clouds.
