Born: Cleveland, Ohio, USA One half the writing-directing brother team, Joe's joint breakthrough feature was the cult hit Welcome To Collinwood. Their first movie Pieces was written, directed, produced and acted in by Joe and his brother Anthony. By a stroke of luck it was spotted by director Steven Soderbergh at the Slamdance Film Festival in Utah. Welcome to Collinwood, starring Clooney and Louis Guzman, became the first move made by Clooney and Soderbergh's production company Section Eight.
