Pablo Trapero

The Argentinian director first came to international attention with his debut feature Crane World.
The 1999 movie about a man trying to find a job won the Critic Award at the Venice Festival and Best Film in Rotterdam.
Trapero formed his first production company - Cinematografico Sargentina - with other young directors in 1996.
After Crane World, he premiered the short Naikor at the Locarno Film Festival and also produced Lisandro Alonso's La Libertadi.
In 2002, he produced Enrigue Belland's Cuidad de Maria.
Recent work has included the police corruption drama El Bonaerense, which told the story of Buenos Aires' crooked cops.
