David Caruso is a much underrated actor and he will continue to be so if he keeps making journeyman, straight-to-cable flicks like this. He plays Hawkins, a former soldier who gets involved with his neighbours, Natalie (Susan Haskell) and her vicious boyfriend Gus (Thomas Ian Griffith). This ends up as the standard love triangle, mixed up with the battle for a caseful of cash. The film is not bad enough to be recommended for the wrong reasons, but neither does it have any special kind of spark to make it memorable. Undemanding late-night fodder that will be only vaguely recalled a couple of days later.
