Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia's sincere acting make this straightforward film - based on a play that originally starred Weaver and Bill Murray - a poignant one. Weaver plays Joan, a journalist who helps fire chief Nick (LaPaglia) write eulogies for his lost colleagues in the aftermath of 9/11. Their conversation provokes both thought and tears. Co-starring are Irene Walsh, Weaver's husband Jim Simpson (who also directs) and their daughter, Charlotte Simpson.
