The actress - whose name means "beautiful one" in Persian - made her big screen breakthrough in the action adventure Hidalgo alongside Viggo Mortensen.
As a child she lived in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore before attending boarding school in England.

our years later she moved to Los Angeles, attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and landing a part in Mike Figgis' Timecode.
Next up was X-Files spin-off The Lone Gunmen as spy Yves Adele Harlow (an anagram of JFK's killer Lee Harvey Oswald).
In 2002, she starred in the low-budget South African horror yarn Slash and then landed a role as the daughter of sheikh (played by Omar Sharif) in Hidalgo.
Upcoming projects include the role of Jessica in Michael Radford's adaptation of The Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino and Joesph Fiennes.
