Spider-Man II

Absolutely eye-popping special effects are married to intense, heart-stopping drama as Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man weaves another web around New York and leaves us desperate to see the third instalment. Best sequel ever made? Forget about it. Best comic book movie ever made? Now THAT's a bit closer to the mark.

Although much better than the first, it kind of gives away what Spiderman 3 will be about. The special effects were so much better, I never noticed any mistakes in the film that people have pointed out!

Excellent, best ever film to date, can't wait to see it again and again. I loved all the effects and the wonderful story line.

Wow, wow, wow! Sooo much better than the first, with the previously dodgy-looking CGI stunts sped up and set at night-time to give a more realistic look. A rollicking romp of a movie - regretfully pushes Hellboy back down a place in my list of summer movies. Watch it and weep, Hulk.
