Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason
Bridget Jones has got her man - but can she keep him? The second outing of the Chardonnay-swigging, big knicker-full of neuroses sees her back on splendid form. There's a few too many cheesy love songs and a detour to Thailand to be incarcerated in five-star version of the Bangkok Hilton doesn't really work. However, there are enough turbo-charged faux pas and some superb comedy playing to make it reason enough to open Bridget's diary again.
Nowhere near as good as the first. I loved the first one and I watch it whenever I'm bored, but this just didn't make it up to the same standard. Did anyone notice that Renee's mouth didn't seem to move when she spoke? I suppose it does't help that I read the books beforehand and they are completely different - but all in all it was ok - the fight scene was hilarious. Watchable for the delectable Colin Firth of course!

I thought that the first one was ok but I was sickened to watch this film. Oh and Darcy please do get a life!
Marie Davies
Was so romantic! One of the best films this year for me. Not as good as the first as it lacked that extra something like the end of the first one. Very funny and great all round though. Colin Firth was romantic, Renee Zellweger was gorgeous and Hugh Grant was hilarious.
Ann Marie
Much, much funnier than the first one.. I think the fact Im the same age helps..
Jane Moore
This was a brilliant sequel to the first movie. Maybe not as funny, but certainly as entertaining. Renee, with her akwardness and vulnerability as Bridget was fantastic. The part where she was kissed by another woman and still managed to remain so 'polite' was hilarious. The best part of the film however was the prison scene, where she had the other inmates singing, 'Like a virgin'. This had the whole cinema in stitches. It's a must see, especially for you ladies!

One of the best films i have seen this year. Even better than the first bridget jones and the accidental overdose on magic mushrooms was just hilarious.
Debbie Claydon
Hilarious, funny, better than the first one by far. Renee is even bigger (literally) than the first, more gags, more smooching, more girlie fighting by the boys. Must see (well for all girls at least).
Deborah Madge
Nothing can beat the first film, or so I thought, but the sequel is better, funnier and more enthralling than the first Bridget Jones. Bridget is her usual accident-prone, self-doubting but delightful self in all her glory and Mark Darcy is even more pompous but even more gorgeous. Both Hugh Grant and Colin Firth outdo themselves in the second episode and all I can say is thank god that Renee Zellwegger agreed to make this film because no one could've played Bridget Jones in a more funnier way.
Mandy Bailey
Absolutely brilliant! I cant remember the last time a film made me laugh so much! It left me smiling for hours after! I could watch it over and over! Parts of the story are a bit far fetched but it's Bridget - it works!
Samantha Stroud
Very, very funny, even better than the first one. Please can we have a Bridget Jones 3!
Emma Haworth
This film is a masterpiece! The combination of Colin Firth and Hugh Grant as the two men in Bridget's life is smooth! Although I would just add, "go Mark Darcy, you go get her!"
