I have given this film 1 star as it didn't give you the option to put zero! I had heard a lot about this film and looked at the reviews on this site and all I can say is I must of been watching a different film. I thought the plot was convoluted and hard to follow. As for the acting, well Bloom is his normal wooden self but the biggest disappointment for me was Johnny Depp. If you want to see a quality performance from him look no further than Edward Scissorhands.

I agree whole-heartedly with Mr Mark Dempsey on the issue of Orlando Bloom. If it hadn't been for his wooden, weak irritating acting then this film would have got five stars.

Absolutely loved this film, can't fault any of the performances even by the minor characters (Jack Davenport makes a great foiled straight guy).

This film is one of the best films you will ever see! It's a comedy-action-adventure-romance and a must see movie. The main actors are Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow), Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) and Geoffrey Rush (Captain Barbossa) and actress Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swan). Barbossas crew stole cursed aztec treasure that means they stay alive as the walking dead. They even turn to skeletons in the moonlight. Sparrow wants the ship back that enemy Barbossa stole from him...

A great but scary film. I would say that it is a "Shiver me Timbers" kinda film.

Great acting by Orlando Bloom, i absolutely adored him in this film. Johnny Depp was hilarious and I think that was the best film he has done. Keira Knightley was brilliant and her and Orlando made such a cute couple. Can't wait for the sequel.

This film is really good. Its funny, dramatical and everything a really good film to watch with the family. I'm not too sure about Orlandos performance but hey Johnny was GREAT!

Just what exactly is it that film companies see in Orlando Bloom? Only an organisation like Disney could take some of the best actors of our time (Depp and Rush) and make their jobs as hard as possible with the jaw droppingly shocking Bloom. What a shame, this was both one of the best and one of the worst films I have ever seen.

I think that this movie is one of the best ever. Not for the plot or the acting but because it is fun and different and Depp is fantastic at playing psychotic characters. I thought he was delicious. I took one star off the rating because Bloom was appalling. Go back to Minas Tirith, Orlando, and I might like you again. He was so good in LOTR, so what the hell happened??

If it wasn't for Mr. Depp I wouln't even have bothered watching it. Terrible acting from Orlando Bloom (what were you thinking?). The plot is pointless and could only entertain a 5-year-old. My advice, watch a Care Bears movie. At least then you'll get what you expect.

This film had everything!One, Orlando was in it! Two, it had loads of action in it. And three, you would never ever get bored of watching it over and over again. The stars in this film are amazing... Especially Orlando Bloom! This film was great and you're mad if you haven't seen it yet!

I thought this film was very entertaining. My wife won't keep quiet about it - she thought it was absolutely thrilling! So it gets 5 stars... and hopefully that will keep my wife quiet...

I think that this film is very humorous and the choice of actors was very well balanced. Johnny Depp the comedian and rugged pirate of the film, Orlando Bloom the young handsome hero and Keira Knightley the steriotypical pretty, damsel in distress. The plot of the film was very involving and gripping as you were always thinking about what would happen next. The main reason why I rate this film a five star film is because I feel that the whole atmosphere and plot is very carefully planned out.

This is an absolutely fantastic film with an amazing performance from the indubitable star of the film Johnny Depp. The screen lights up in ever scene he's in and by teaming up with the gorgeous Orlando Bloom it ensures that Pirates will be a hit for years to come! Fantastic! i thoroughly enjoyed it, the theme, the action, everything! It's the perfect pirate film! The director, Gore, has definatly showed us what modern technology, with the right actors can do today. Keira, Orlando, Geoffry and Jonny are the perfect match for this film. The make-up is very realistic, especially on the pirates!

This film is one of my personal favourites, brimming with swash-buckling action and brilliant humour. Brilliant. Based on a theme park ride it was never going to be too serious. The balance between the serious and the comedic was great. The way that Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom worked together was fantastic. I can't wait for the sequel.

This is a fantastic mix of love, humour, horror and fighting. This is truly a unique film with everything. It is not a pirate film with eye patches everywhere, it is well thought out and has the perfect actors for the perfect parts. I recommend this to anyone.
