A worthy but slow tale about the devastation that rips through a community when a young person dies from cancer.
It's a moving story, but nothing groundbreaking emerges from this dramatisation that centres on high school student Jules (Larisa Oleynik), whose greatest dream is to be a dancer - and her inseparable friend, Sam (Shiri Appleby), who lives her life in Jules's shadow.
When illness strikes Jules, she and Sam have to come to terms with the changes in their relationship.
The dancing is beautiful, but Peter Coyote, as Jules's dad, is wasted in only a handful of scenes. And as Jules sets an example to all around her to live life to the full, the message is solid - but it's a less than fun way to spend your time.
