The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
CS Lewis's timeless fantasy transports four children from wartime London into the mystical land of Narnia. Once there, they seek the great lion Aslan to fulfil a prophecy and end the wintry reign of the wicked White Witch. Shrek director Andrew Adamson wisely tones down the book's religious tub-thumping but stays faithful to the story to create a good, old-fashioned family adventure.
This movie was brilliant. It is a tearful moment when the Lion dies, but you are soon smiling again when he comes back to life! The acting is brilliant also.
John Mulhall
What an amazing film: action, drama and fantasy all the way. The children are fantastic as is Aslan. This reminded me so much of sitting at home as a child watching the story unfold on TV. Amazing effects and so much emotion - an absolute must see.

I thought this was a great enjoyable film. The visual effects were great and some great cast voices of the animals. Aslan was great.

I dont usually watch this kind of film, but i took my kids to watch it and i thought it was brilliant. I think i enjoyed it more than them.
Nathan Hoar
A good film for the kids and adults although the ending was like the Lord of the Rings.

I was stunned at how good it was. I thought it might be overloaded with action and fights but it wasn't. The battle at the end was spectacular. This will become a classic.
Ashleigh Walmsley
Fantastic. The special effects enthralled and the fight scenes made the hairs on the back of head stand on end! Overall, it was a great family film to go to see at Christmas!

This is such a great movie. It doesn't matter how much people try to shut out the good and Christian connection to the book, the truth will prevail and hopefully many people will put the pieces together and long for Jesus.
Ben Redford
An insanely awesome masterpiece. Great performances from a young cast, especially an impressive Henley in her first film. Just try and go on your own without the kids or it will spoil the fun.

This movie was tastefully done. Having read the book countless times to fourth graders in school, I was more than pleased with the production. The children cast in the four major roles were superb, and more important, they were convincing to those of us who know the story and dialogue so well. I have read the novel over 25 times, and I still get emotional at the sight of Aslan, and these feelings were brought out today during the film. My students loved it, the parents loved it, and so did I.

The films will appeal to those who can stretch their imagination just that bit further and if you see the funny side of talking animals so much the better. The magnificent lion Aslan provides the film with realistic special effects and the war of the beasts in magnificent surroundings are reminiscent of a Lord of the Rings-style battle. It takes you out of the real world for a couple of hours into mystery, magic and adventure.
