In Bruges is the darkly comedic tale of the fates of hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson) who are forced to lay low in the picturesque city of Bruges after a difficult job in London.
However the pair soon find that winding down the days as they wait for a call from their boss Harry (Ralph Fiennes) is anything but relaxing as they become drawn into a series of increasingly dangerous entanglements with locals, tourists, and just about anyone else that crosses their path.

Bruges, the most well-preserved medieval city in the whole of Belgium, is a welcoming destination for travellers from all over the world. But for hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson), it could be their final destination when they instructed to sit tight in the Flemish city.
However going from hit men to tourists is a difficult transition. Ray, haunted by the bloodshed in London, hates the place, while Ken finds himself enamoured with the place even as he keeps a fatherly eye on Ray's often profanely funny exploits.
But the longer they stay, the more surreal their experience becomes, as they find themselves in series of weird encounters which ultimately find Ken and Ray's vacation becomes a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions and surprisingly emotional consequences.
