Persepolis is the poignant story of a young girl coming-of-age in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. This harrowing yet at times heartwarming tale charts life in the country under the Shah and Islamic fundamentalists through the eyes of the precocious and outspoken nine year old Marjane.
