Kim Cattrall
Born: 21st August 1956
Where: Liverpool, England
Educated in Canada, London, and New York, Kim first attracted attention as a brainwashed cultist in Ticket to Heaven in 1981.
She had been acting in movies since 1975 but never really broke through to the big time until five or six years into her career.
The sexually voracious gym instructor played by Kim in Porky's in the early 80s, was a character which bought the actress notoriety for perhaps the wrong reasons!
Cult comedy classic, Police Academy was another role taken on by Kim - a busty and useless trainee officer who falls for the charms of Sgt. Mahoney, played by Steve Guttenberg.
Mannequin and Honeymoon Academy were both minor 80s successes.
It was almost a decade later that Kim hit our small screens with her portrayal of 30-something, eternally single Samantha Jones in the TV smash Sex and the City.
Since then Kim has appeared in a few feature films, such as Baby Geniuses and 36 Hours To Die, but none have brought her the acclaim that the New York comedy Sex and the City has.
