Back in the days when Rosanna Arquette was still making decent movies, she joined a whole crowd of young actors who would soon become better known in this flavoursome period piece about high-school lovers who go together like oil and water.
Although sharp in its observation of (young) human behavious, the film's raucous, high-throttle approach becomes tiresome towards the end and it doesn't quite fulfil its initial promise.
When interest in the story flags though, you can while away the time spotting people like Tracy Pollan, Fisher Stevens, Caroline Aaron, Matthew Modine, Robert Downey Jr and Robin Johnson. Arquette and Vincent Spano are both excellent in the leading roles.
