The texture of Ann and Eduardo Guedes' film is rich and resonant, complex and, at times, requiring more than one viewing fully to savour all its ironies. Myth and reality intermix and the eventual result is like seeing a collage of apparently unconnected images which ultimately deliver a charge which is considerably greater than its individual parts.
