Lloyd Bridges' first British film casts him in a thriller about a mysterious assassin. Leslie Phillips, before he became famous as a farceur, plays it straight as a policeman and Rachel Roberts is briefly glimpsed as a barmaid. It's a decent, inventive little drama, marred only by a weak and foolish ending.
