A formula sporting frolic along familiar lines: in this instance, a new coach (Emilio Estevez) takes on a hopeless bunch of ice-hockey players and, naturally, turns them into a winning combination. Full of preachy dialogue and lowbrow slapstick action, the film, a huge hit in the US, provides undemanding entertainment that will probably be best enjoyed by pre-teens.
