Annoying when it's supposed to be engaging, this is a cloying romantic comedy with principals so irritating that you want to get up and throw things at them.
Marisa Tomei plays hopeless romantic Faith who lives up to her name in her belief that she'll find the perfect soulmate.
This turns out to be a spaced-out-looking Robert Downey Jr in one of his less charming turns.
Exotic locations in Venice and camerawork in bright, primary colours give the film the look of froth from an earlier era.
Tomei does her best to be adorable in this one, but it's Bonnie Hunt and Billy Zane who give the vapid concoction what little kick it has.
A few hilarious moments do brighten up the brew if you can stay the course.
