The horror movie, which was also written and edited by Marshall, won numerous international awards and was also a success on DVD.
He followed it up with the big budget The Descent, featuring a group of women potholers confronted by mutant cannibals.

Marshall began his career as an editor and writer on Killing Time and editor on TV movie Driven.
