Originally a miniseries, this is a TV movie based on a true story, this time a grisly one of murder. A stepson dons a mask, enters a house at night and kills his stepfather, then turns on his mother Bonnie (Blythe Danner). Or does he? The story tells of how the family copes with this horror, and of police proceedings which involve many suspects and many clues. It's still too long for what it is, but there is a gem in the cast - Gwyneth Paltrow as Bonnie's daughter. Danner, of course, is her real-life mother.
