Director Shane Meadows delivers another slice of colourful life from his native Nottinghamshire, in his follow-up to the acclaimed TwentyFourSeven. Here, the themes are friendship and loyalty as 12-year-old school mates, the ever-hungry Romeo (Andrew Shim) and the limping Knock Knock (Ben Marshall), find themselves increasingly growing apart because of the arrival of Morell (Paddy Considine), a dangerous, yet charismatic loner. Humorous dialogue and two winning performances from the young leads help to make this cheap and cheerful little movie a delightful breath of fresh air.
