Boycott

Historical drama about the birth of the American civil rights movement in 1955. When a black woman named Rosa Parks is arrested after refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, the act launches a boycott of the transport network by the African-American community. Stars Jeffrey Wright, Terrence Dashon Howard, CCH Pounder.

The true story of the black woman who refused to give up her seat - kicking off the US Civil Rights movement in the process - was always an inspiring one, and it's fairly well told here. Jeffrey Wright, Terrence Dashon Howard and Carmen Ejogo star as the local people. Moving, if a bit plodding.
