A Carry On-style comedy (made by the director of that series, Gerald Thomas), this farcical romp is set in a music academy, where six young students run through the gamut of musical jokes under the baton of Sir Benjamin Boyd, world famous conductor, who, with one word, can blister anyone's skin. Sir Benjamin is played by James Robertson Justice, in an extension of his Sir Lancelot Spratt creation for the Doctor series. Among the music students, watch out for a young Jim Dale (later to take star roles in Carry On comedies) in a very small role playing a very large musical instrument. In more substantial parts, prominent members of the Carry On repertory company, headed by Sidney James, Kenneth Williams, Liz Fraser and Leslie Phillips, will delight all devotees of the belly-laugh.
