Lloyd Bridges and Shirley Jones play two lonely and sad people who share a brief encounter in a New England town. A rarity this - a telemovie from way back in the Sixties - it's based on a play by Robert Anderson which starred Henry Fonda and Barbara Bel Geddes on stage. It's gentle, touching but rather too overtly maudlin to highly recommend. Jeff Bridges takes his first adult role, playing the Lloyd Bridges character as a young man.
