Excellent credentials a strong cast directed by Clive Donner in a demonology thriller co-scripted by Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and a lavish by TV standards production cannot disguise the mild nature of the plot. Robert Culp is not ideally cast as an American Sherlock Holmes but Gig Young scores as his alcoholic assistant. Filmed in England, so there are plenty of familiar faces in the supporting cast.
