More like a TV movie with an above-average script, this lightweight, enjoyable comedy is forgettable but fun. As Nadine, Kim Basinger, in 1950s frocks, has never looked better or rarely seemed more confident. Jeff Bridges gives amiable support as the estranged husband who gets involved after she picks up secret highway plans from a murdered photographer instead of 'nude snaps of herself. Lots of jokey action follows, with Rip Torn for once not going over the top as the villain, and Basinger scrambling photogenically through windows, up skylights and across ladders between buildings.
