Lackawanna Blues

After the separation of his parents, young Ruben "Junior" Santiago (Marcus Carl Franklin), a part-black, part-Hispanic child, is sent to live in a boarding house run by the kind-hearted Rachel "Nanny" Crosby (S Epatha Merkerson). He grows up witnessing the world of soul and blues music and is introduced to a rich gallery of characters who frequent the house. Warm-hearted drama based on a true story.
