Lenny Abrahamson

The former philosophy student made his big screen debut with the critically acclaimed drama Adam & Paul.
The movie, shot for just £400,000, told the story of two Dublin junkies and was a surprise box office and DVD rental hit in Ireland.
Abrahamson studied physics followed by philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin, where he won a foundation scholarship.
While at university he directed short videos with the Trinity Video Society which he co-founded with Ed Guiney.
Upon graduating, he directed the 16mm short 3 Joes, which won the Best European Short Film award at the Cork Film Festival.
After studying philosophy at America's Stanford University as a post-graduate, he returned home to direct TV commercials.
These included the Carlsberg Flatmates advert and it was through commercials producer Jonny Speers he met Mark 0'Halloran, writer of Adam & Paul.
