Gerry Cuts Thunderbirds Ties
Anderson forced to deny involvement with new movieThunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson has issued a stern statement to impress on the media that he is in "no position" to endorse the movie.
In no uncertain terms, Anderson pointed out that he is not, and has never been, "creatively i
nvolved" and knows "very little" about the film.And he stressed that was despite a "close physical proximity" between Pinewood Studios - where the Thunderbirds Movie is in production - and the facility where he will create the new Captain Scarlet TV series.
For the record, he added: "I have not seen the script and have made it my business not to attempt to find out about it.
"I have a good relationship with the film's director, Jonathan Frakes, whose previous work I rate highly.
"However, I am certainly in no position to endorse the film - or otherwise - and I would like this to be clearly understood."
