Versatile actor Dillane has made a name for himself on stage on both sides of the Atlantic as well as numerous film roles.
He took the title role in Jonathan Demme's The Truth About Charlie and also featured strongly in Welcome To Sarajevo.
The son of a surgeon, he left Exeter University to work briefly as a journalist for the Croydon Advertiser before taking to the stage.
Dillane trained at Bristol Old Vic and went on to work in Coventry, Manchester and Chester and then at London's National Theatre, were he appeared in the acclaimed Angels In America.
He landed a Tony award for his part in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing on Broadway and returned to Stoppard for Coasts of Utopia at the National.
TV credits include Christabel, The Rector's Wife and the mini-series The Cazalets.
Dillane starred in political thriller Spy Game, the Darkest Light, Franco Zeffirelli's Hamlet as well as The Parole Officer.
Recent film work includes The Truth About Charlie, Nicole Kidman's husband in The Hours and The Gathering with Christina Ricci.
