Anthony Edwards

Although best known as Dr Mark Green in American TV's ER, Edwards feature work has included Revenge of the Nerds, Mr North and The Client.
A Golden Globe and quadruple Emmy winner for ER, the youngest of five children was encourage to act and took a summer theatre workshop in London.
Returning to the USA, Edwards worked in commercials, jobs that helped him pay his education at The University of Southern California where he studied acting.
However, he dropped out of college and landed a small role as Stoner Bud in the 1982 movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High, starring Sean Penn.
The box office success kickstarted his career and his first starring role was as the nerdy Gilbert Lowell in Revenge of the Nerds.
After starring in 1985's The Sure Thing and Gotcha! he landed another big-time successful movie with Top Gun, in which he played Tom Cruise's ill-fated easy going navigator/best buddy Lt. Nick "Goose" Bradshaw.
Following Top Gun, he reprised his role as Gilbert in the movie Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise before he starred in Summer Heat.
He also feature in Mr North and Miracle Mile before switching to TV movies and a starring role in Northern Exposure.
During his hiatus on ER, he went back to the box office circuit to star and to produce the movie Don't Go Breaking My Heart.
Recent work includes the surreal fantasy Northfork and the part of Brains in the live action version of the British TV favourite Thunderbirds.
