The first half of this movie is a sort of gross Dumb and Dumber, it will no doubt have Jim Carrey fans cheering in the aisles.
In the second half, gross-out takes a back seat as the film develops into a comedic slant on a Rocky of the 10-pin bowling world.
Woody Harrelson is the kid who has the world in the palm of his hand, but that's shattered after he's suckered by former champ Bill Murray into trying to hustle some rednecks.
Years later, appallingly down and out (and hairless), Woody puts in his rubber thumb and pulls out a plum in the shape of giant Amish idiot Randy Quaid, who's also a bowling genius.
They head for Nevada's million-dollar bowling challenge, where Quaid hurts his hand, Woody takes his place and his opponent in the final is none other than... but no, you guessed it.
Stick with this and you may giggle instead of gag at the end.
