Still Crazy

Bill Nighy, Timothy Spall, Stephen Rea and Jimmy Nail must be off their rockers when they decide to reform their 70s supergroup Strange Fruit. They're ready to "surf the nostalgia wave" but even old roadie Billy Connolly can tell that they're still having problems with their harmonies. Nostalgia with plenty of kerrang, scripted by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, purveyors of fine British comedies since The Rolling Stones were pebbles.

Still Crazy

Good coarse fun's on the bill here as Strange Fruit, a Seventies British rock band, reassembles after 20 years.

Top character stars Billy Connolly, Jimmy Nail, Stephen Rea, Timothy Spall and, especially, Bill Nighy, as the spaced-out singer, do a good job of making individuals out of the band members as they come out of various amusing states of retirement.

Juliet Aubrey is convincing as the band's long-suffering PA and even the music sounds like the genuine stuff. Rocktastic!
