The actress is best known for her portrayal of aristocratic spy Lady Penelope in the live action version of kids TV favourite Thunderbirds.
The daughter of a vicar, she gave up a place at Cambridge to study philosophy in order to pursue a career in acting.
She made her screen debut in the TV series Big Women before launching on the big screen in Mansfield Park.
Myles starred in the TV series Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby as well as playing a "saucy wood nymph" in the gross-out comedy Guest House Paradiso.
In 2001, she starred opposite Johnny Depp in the Jack the Ripper thriller From Hell and appeared in the period drama The Abduction Club.
Subsequent roles included the vampire Erika in the cult hit Underworld and a student in the low-budget drama Out of Bounds.
After Thunderbirds, she starred in the historical romance Tristan & Isolde with Rufus Sewell.
