Think Twin Peaks transported to Wales and you'll get the drift of this mystery-comedy-drama that tells the tale of a teenage girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to a young girl who died accidentally some 14 years before. The humour is definitely black and there are some amusing one-liners and attractive characters, even if there is too much reliance on Welsh stereotypes. There are pleasing performances, especially from Ioan Gruffudd (Hornblower) as a detective who becomes involved, while Alison Steadman produces another of her distinctive character studies. The film is nicely shot with good use of locations, but all will depend on your sense of humour.
